King Pharmaceuticals, a vertically integrated pharmaceutical company, has appointed John Howarth as its new vice president of investor relations.
Most recently, Mr Howarth was vice president of investor relations at Alpharma, which King acquired in December 2008. Previously, Mr Howarth served in similar roles at MedPointe Pharmaceuticals and Kos Pharmaceuticals.
Joseph Squicciarino, CFO of King Pharmaceuticals, said: "We are extremely pleased to add Jack to our team. We are confident that Jack's expertise in investor relations and extensive knowledge of the specialty pharmaceutical industry will complement our senior management team as we focus on executing our long-term growth strategy."
