PORTSMOUTH, NH - Port City Web, LLC , a website design and development company that specializes in eCommerce, SEO and content management systems, today announced that it has worked with Cubist Pharmaceuticals, Inc. of Lexington, MA to create, launch and sustain a new website and initiative, named MedCommForum, for medical communications within the Pharmaceutical Industry. The MedCommForum community was built in collaboration with Port City Web for website design and development with the use of Ektron's CMS400 web content management software.
Port City Web created the logo design, and the design of the website, and developed a custom integration of the Ektron CMS to power the MedCommForum website. The design and colors of the MedCommForum website were selected to invite users while having a simple, no clutter look and feel. With the primary focus of the MedCommForum website to be on the use and exchange of information, the website was designed to emphasize the functionality once logged into the secure website.
MedCommForum is a Medical Communications Forum community built by Medical Communications colleagues within the Pharmaceutical Industry -- that incorporates various peer-to-peer collaborative and social networking tools -- to support communications between its members. Membership is restricted to verified Pharmaceutical Industry colleagues within Medical Communications groups only. There are no fees for membership in the MedCommForum.
MedCommForum is sponsored by Cubist and founded by Amyas Huston (Senior Manager, Medical Communications). The mission of MedCommForum is to provide a forum for collaborative communications between Medical Communications colleagues within the Pharmaceutical Industry, including anyone who provides or supports medical product information services in scientific services groups. The views expressed on the MedCommForum website are those of the website visitors and do not necessarily represent the views of the Sponsor(s), its affiliates, or its licensees.
