Pharmaceuticals supplier Watson Pharmaceuticals Inc (NYSE:WPI) declared on Monday the appointment of G. Frederick Wilkinson as executive vice president of global brands.
This is a newly expanded position in which Wilkinson will be responsible for all aspects of the company's global brand pharmaceutical business, including brand product development, global sales and marketing and coordinating brand product business development activities. He will also oversee Watson's biologic development efforts.
Wilkinson will report directly to the company's president and chief executive officer Paul Bisaro.
Most recently Wilkinson was president and chief operating officer of Duramed Pharmaceuticals Inc. He worked for Watson Pharmaceuticals previously, from 1996 to 2001, when he was senior vice president and chief operating officer.
