The company has secured the inside back cover full-page advertising space in the forty-year-old magazine that specializes in content for reps, trainers and sales managers at pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Pharmaceutical Representative is a monthly magazine serving the information needs of pharmaceutical sales professionals. Primary care representatives, specialty representatives, district managers, sales managers and regional managers make up 86% of its readership. The practice of sales reps buying lunches for physicians and office staff was spotlighted in a January 2009 revised Code of Interactions with Healthcare Professionals issued by the trade organization PhRMA, the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America. It called for those interacting with healthcare professionals to provide only 'modest meals' on an 'occasional basis' during an 'informational presentation' at the 'physician's office.'
