MUMBAI (Commodity Online):Mentha oil futures rose Friday due to firm demand from the pharmaceuticalindustries amid strong export demand.
In MCX mentha oil December contract is trading at Rs.1356.60 per Kg, higher by 0.25 per cent on 14:35 IST against the previous close.
In the morning session the contract traded at a range of Rs.1352-1365.60 per quintal. Open interest of the contract is 3954 lots and volume traded is 1516 lots for the time being.
Rise in demand in the mandis on the domestic and the export front from European countries and China continued to support the rates.
