WOBURN, Mass.-SupplyScape Corporation, a leading provider of software and consulting services for traceability and collaboration to secure the value and safety of the global pharmaceutical supply chain, today announced that Genetco Inc. has selected SupplyScape E-PedigreeTM and SupplyScape NexusTM to help anchor its internal product traceability system and manage the regulatory and operational complexity created by the nation’s pedigree requirements.
As a leading full-line generics distributor operating in multiple states and handling product lines from more than 170 manufacturers, Genetco faces multiple business challenges. Compliance with numerous state-level and national product traceability regulations is mandatory. Driving new growth means providing excellent service and competitive pricing to a diverse pharmacy customer base with widely varying technical and process requirements. Pharmaceutical company suppliers deliver shipment information in a myriad of formats and levels of precision. With new regulations coming online and serialization mandates looming, Genetco turned to SupplyScape to help build a flexible and efficient operational platform that provided a new level of efficiency in their distribution operations.
The SupplyScape Nexus platform will provide a variety of pedigree outputs so Genetco can offer its customers electronic pedigrees, paper versions or streamlined access to their pedigree information in a web portal. Customers will also save time and reduce errors through a simplified returns process that enables authorization through the web portal. Tight inventory control will be maintained through a nightly automated inventory analysis performed by the E-Pedigree system working in concert with Genetco’s warehouse management system. In addition, to reduce the work of internal sales personnel, the integrated system will also support an automated due diligence process which will only present current, ready-to-sell product options.
